Printable Anniversary Cards: Printing Funny Anniversary Cards at Home

Messages of anniversary cards need not always be serious and formal. Sometimes, a great way to send a message across is by injecting humor. Unfortunately, most premade anniversary cards being sold in bookstores and supermarkets are formal. If you want to give out a humorous anniversary card, your best bet is to find one online or make one yourself.

There are a lot of websites offering free cards or cards for sale for you to customize and print out and making one yourself is pretty easy to do. All you'll need is your computer connected to the internet and your printer with ink.

Creating your Own Funny Anniversary Cards

1. Choose a program you are most comfortable with to make your card. You can use word processing software such as Microsoft Word and Apple iWork or graphic design applications such as Adobe Photoshop or even Paint.

2. On the program of your choice, open a new document and set the portrait orientation to "Landscape." This is the ideal orientation to be able to fold your card.

3. Think of a hilarious message you want to put in your card. It may be something you've heard before but it is better if you can think of an original material.

4. Choose where to put your message. Typically, messages are put on the right side on the inside of the card. Type your message and adjust the font, font size, and font color according to your liking.

5. Decorate your card by adding images. Do note where to arrange them, considering how it will turn out when it is printed.

6. If you are fully satisfied with your card, you can then print it out. If you want to have the best print, change the printer settings by going to "Print Setup" and choose the best settings before printing your card.

If you prefer to save time and just print out a card:

1. Look for different websites offering cards such as anniversary cards. A lot of those websites even offer cards for free but they also have cards for sale. Those for sale usually look better than those offered for free.

2. Browse the websites' selections of cards and look for one you like best. Note if it is available for free or for sale.

3. Some websites let you customize the cards you choose. If you want, you can customize your card and add your personal message before you print it out. If there is no option for customization or you can't think of what to put yet, you can just immediately print your card and add your message later.
